Hi all,
I do accelerated mathematics and mathematics extension 1 (I am in year 11). I am looking to do Extension 2 next year. Say I am happy with my mathematics mark and I don't choose to retake it, and I take mathematics extension 2. What will happen to my mathematics mark, considering you drop mathematics 2U to do it. Does it just not count? Or does it count and contribute to my ATAR next year even though it normally wouldn't.

Also just cross checking, is it true that if I don't like my mark from this year and choose to retake it next year and get a worse mark than the first year, I won't be able to choose to use the first year's mark to contribute to my ATAR.

Thanks in advance!

Your mathematics mark won't count. It won't even appear on your testamur.

Your most recent attempt counts.
