played piano for less than a year.
I suck, infortunately...I'm so jealous of how beautifully people who have learnt since they were little kids play.

ive only been learning since i was 15 cherryblossom. there is no limit as to how old you have to be when starting, so if you want to learn, learn..you just have to have the desire to play

I really wish I had of gotten into music when I was younger. It is really frustrating trying to learn when you are older (for me anyway). This is compounded by the fact that I want to learn a few instruments.

alot, the whole thing is costly

    the harp is expensive

    the lessons are expensive

they should call it 'expens-arp' instead of harp.....or something

Yeah, especially if you want to learn that huge concert pedal harp. Fortunately, I only want to learn a 36-44 string lever harp. That ends up being around $5000+

I've been playing guitar for over a year now and I'm really crap still (school been getting in the way)

But I've been considering buying a keyboard and playing that as well, now that school is over.
But I'm 17 already. Just out of curiosity is it too late to become a good keyboard player?

depends what you want to get out of it. I mean if you have aspirations of becoming a world famous concert pianist then i doubt its possible. If your dreams are more realistic then theres no reason why you cant be good, all it takes is practice

    Re: Musical Instruments

I play the guitar, piano and the glass-tumblers-filled-with-different-amounts-of-water. The latter especially at really boring dinner parties and receptions.

    Re: Musical Instruments

I've played guitar for 4 or 5 years now.. I've kinda lost count.. though I wouldn't say I'm pro, just picked it up 5 years ago so I'm kinda intermediate

After HSC I will get serious and actually get lessons. (I'm self taught) I play classical, nylon string, electric and bass guitar. I'm more into drums now, though and have been playing intermediate beats for 1 1/2 years now.

Anyone want to start a band after the HSC?
