MATH1231 - "Attendance is compulsory", but will I be penalised for missing only one?

All in the title, really. I want to ditch one class to help out a friend. I regularly attend the tutorials and got solid marks in the first two tests, so it's not as if I'm slacking of that subject.

No friends in that class so I can't get marked off without being there.

it will be fine, there is no compulsory attendance

if however you do not pass the final exam, they look at your attendance to see if they want to offer you a supplementary exam
