Yeah, I enjoyed it :)
Life of Pi (Yann Martel) is also really good.. bit longer than The Alchemist tho ;)

Incidentally, i found Life of Pi fairly strange, the first bit of the book didn't really seem to be needed? Perhaps you need to have a deep seated religious aspect to your personality to understand it... which i kind of lack?

I think you need to understand his background to comprehend how much Pi gains from the boat part? :p

I'm not religious, but I enjoyed it immensely nonetheless. I love that 'simple' style - it gets the point across but is also really pretty :)

So you're not religious?

i think ill read life of pi

Saw it in bookshop - hmm yes it does appear to be in that 'simple style' but i like that subtle spiritual undertone style of writing

It's just easy to read.. easier than Thus Spake Zarathustra or something along that line, anyway.

Only problem with LoP is that it's $27..!
