well i did Higher chem and it seems that there isnt a scaling system involved. I know Higher maths gets scaling but you should check about Computing.

higher computing is apparently more fun, and our assessments are more interesting.

it moves a lot faster, too, but there's a section of the exam which has content which is the same as the normal course... mhm.

Higher Maths wasn't very good.

Higher Computing sounded better (from what i had heard from those in "lower" computing).

I will stay in higher to begin with, but I have never really touched "C" before, so I may drop done if it all goes to fast ...

I did remember Richard once saying to us that we're "on average 20 marks or so higher" than normal computing.

Damn it I was ONE MARK OFF A HD

mp3mojo... if it's a higher comp class you're talking about, definitely do it! A great challenge, and you'll end up learning a lot more.

There also seems to be an accelerated tute/lab for Higher Comp 1B, if you're higher-higher, I guess :)

rofl. probably no trains.

there's a higher higher comp 1b class mainly 'cause C is a pretty popular language...

I'm going to hang myself if there are trains again.

Really? So was I. Hrm.. so were a lot of other people on this board (I've met mclake and I was in sunny's tute/lab). I'll have to be careful or I'm going to get paranoid delusions.

There's an Advanced Higher Comp 1B class because quite a few people already know C at a level that means they could get bored by Higher comp 1B as it normally goes.

The tutor for the last couple of years has a website at:

That's not the actual title - I'm just calling it Advanced Higher Comp 1B because it's the Advanced Tute/Lab...
