I'm currently doing BA Communications (Journalism)... next year I want to transfer and do it as a double with International Studies.

If UTS decides to increase HECS, will I have to pay the increased rate for all of the subjects of my new double degree (if I get the transfer), because I have "transferred" degrees?

If that is the case, I'll just save that money and go overseas my self.

Do you think this would be how it goes down? Cos that would suck.

i have the same question, as i have started uni 2002 and may transfer to a completely diff course next year

but you're staying in the same course, just sort of 'adding' another degree so i'm fairly certain that you won't get affected by the hecs thing. at the most your international studies subjects will be affected. but you should talk to student services
