Apparently this is an easy elective people take for easy CP but I'm considering taking it because my maths are actually really bad and I plan on transferring to a more maths intensive course after the first year. Not sure what the assumed knowledge is though (school year-wise or some other benchmark), handbook doesn't say. Has anyone done this elective that could shed some light on it?

Assumed knowledge is General Maths HSC level, or 5.2 or 5.3 level Year 10 Maths. The very first lecture is talks about the Basic Algebra Operations all the way to the final lecture of Integration. It's taught at a very first rate. They will teach maths that is necessary for the following Maths subjects that will be taught at UTS (i.e. Mathematical Modelling 1).

Thanks. I'll probably take it in the second semester, maybe. I plan on transferring to CS which does Intro to Linear Dynamical Systems, Mathematical Analysis and Modelling, Statistics and Discrete Maths so I have a year to get up to speed.
