Students are actively encouraged to develop skills in problem solving, information technology, communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and importantly, learning-for-life, to support them in their professional development.
UOW conducts highly successful student exchange and study abroad programs. Exchange links connect Wollongong with universities in the United States, Britain, Europe and South East Asia.
Double degree programs offer maximum flexibility so students can pursue their main interests while, at the same time, enhancing their career possibilities. Students can also take summer session courses on top of their normal course load, as an opportunity to complete their degree earlier or take additional subjects, which again might enhance their career opportunities.
The university has satellite campuses operating in Sydney, Nowra, Batemans Bay, Bega, Oatley*, Moss Vale* and offshore in Dubai. * From 2002.
The Wollongong University College (WUC) also offers a range of certificates and diplomas in English language and academic studies.
UOW is only minutes from the heart of Wollongong, a multicultural city of 300,000 blessed with an array of beaches, just 60 minutes from Sydney Airport and 75 minutes from downtown Sydney.
Situated between the mountains and the Pacific Ocean, the leafy campus offers an ideal study environment.
