Band estimate for each question in past Mathematics HSCs

    Hi All,

I want a group of my students only working on band 3 and 4 questions. Does anyone have a break down of band levels for each question in past HSC papers?

    Thank you

just do up to question ~8 in old format trial papers (ie papers without multiple choice questions), and up to question ~14 or so in the newer format papers (ie ones with multiple choice).

    I'd say that's a "band 4" level.

although, if your students can do EVERY question up to the ones I've mentioned, you could probably expect a band 5 result tbh. Heaps of the band 5 and band 6 students let go of easy marks in the earlier sections - either due to lack of proper revision, or due to careless mistakes etc.
