if they ask you to integrate something with ln x and dont mention that u hav to change the subject to x and then do it that way, can u just do primitive of ln x is xln x -x? and then do it, it'll b a lot faster and safer.

Isn't that like in the 2003 paper, where they asked you to find the volume under e^x around the x-axis? Yea, they asked NOT to evaluate the integral.

At 2 unit level, you're not expected to know how to integrate ln x. It involves integration by parts which is covered in Extension 2 level.
