The integral approaches infinity, and therefore is undefined.

Well technically negative infinity right?

I also think that these are not within the scope of any HSC course, do correct me if I'm wrong though.

It's actually "- ln 0", so it's infinity in the positive direction and yes, improper integrals are outside the scope of the HSC course.
