Hey guys,
a doubt from the cambridge book on points and intervals.
The question is find the co-ordinates of the four points A, B, C and D which divide the interval
joining S(-2,3) and T(8,18) into five equal subintervals(you will need the ratio division formulas)

cheers!

To divide it in to 5 equal subintervals, we need to consider the 4 different ratios for A, B, C and D.

For A, it is one fifth of the distance away from S and four fifths the distance away from T.

So the ratio for A is 1:4

For B, 2:3

For C, 3:2

For D, 4:1
