Just wondering if you guys can help me with these two questions on trig curve sketching. Please show full working and diagram

1. y = 2tan PI X

5. y = cos3x and from it sketch y=cos^3x

1. The 2 doesn't affect the tan function much, it stretches it vertically. The pi basically means that everything on the X axis gets divided by pi.

So asymptotes at pi/2 become 1/2 etc.

2. I don't get how we can deduce the sketch of y=cos^2(x) using y=cos(3x).

I know how to solve and do all the steps in solving this question just need help on sketching the graph. Could you guys please do it on latex or something so I can see the graph

Literally google it. They've implemented a graph function, so long as you type in the equation correctly, you should be able to see it.

Otherwise, use Wolfram Alpha to visualise it.
