    How Far Back?

I'm starting the HSC papers for the maths exams. How far back is everyone going? Is 85 too early?

Go as far back as you can - I went to around mid 80s. But, also do trial papers, because many tend to be more difficult than the actual HSC.

Beyond 2001 is somewhat pushing it, but it should be fine.
As others above have mentioned, trial papers are another good avenue to enhance/test your ability.
