Hey guys. How its going?

Alright, now to the situation at hand. I come home to school, it being a friday afternoon, to play some Fifa 2005. I play it, and the video doesn't work, and the graphics are all garbled.

This has also happened to Pro Evo Soccer 6, WoW, TES:Oblivion and HL2.

I dont know why.

I know its related to the graphics card, and i have updated the drivers to the latest version. I play it, it works for a while, but then it goes back to its previous state.

Its annoying me, i think i'll go study to fight the boredom. Yes folks, its THAT bad.

So some help'll be appreciated. Thankyou.

Okay, i've managed to pinpoint it to the textures. The textures produced using direct3d all appears garbled, with the colours being all wrong (eg, green and black interlaced lines, etc).

I've tried to re-install Dx9, but it didn't update, saying "directx has been successfully updated", the drivers don't work.

Well, so much for my planned WoW session. :mad1:

what graphics card do you have?
how much ram does it have?
is it agp or pci-e?

personally i think your graphics card got screwed in terms of hardware.
so the best thing you could do is send it back to the manufacturers for warranty or get a new one

Shit i think you're right.

Just as well, my graphics card would've lasted only around 2 months before it would've needed to upgrade. It lasted a good 2 years though.

Thats what i get for buying dodgy brand video cards.
