From the top of my head, these are some good math textbooks: *Cambridge (Arnold) *Coroneos *Fitzpatrick *Math in Focus (Grove) - Use thisto learn the basics if the others are too hard.

but i think a lot of schools use conquering chem anyway... so i suggest borrowing it from the library first... and wait till you find out what your school is using... before you buy it... | |

| glorious beacon of light | Re: Recommended Texbooks/Study Guides? for chem i have : - chemistry contexts 1 [ not sure of what edition, but it has sparks or something on the front ] - excel prelim chem - from what i see now, ITS CRAP ![]() - & conquering chem. 3rd ed. physics: - jacaranda physics prelim course book1 - & excel prelim physics i got these & kiss notes from me teacher. & well, my school has a pretty bad rep. but im suprised they provided us with alright textbooks. any comments on how they are would be much appreciated. & for that brown couchman maths book with the stripes, i have the 2u one & well, my opinion on the 2u one is that its kinda crap. Like, it doesnt go through the whole syllabus, its explanations would be like what on earth !? if i hadnt already learnt some of the stuff, & sometimes they dont even have explanations. its pretty brief & i dont recommend it as your study guide for the senior years.

Didnt happen. But then I know we're getting Conquering Chem for Chem, Heinemann or Jacaranda for Bio, and Coroneous/Fitzpatrick for 3U. Btw, has this thread been stickied? |

Today, 4:36 PM ![]() | Re: Recommended Texbooks/Study Guides? That's good, I bought one Science Excel guide a few days before the actual exam, I didn't really have much time to look at it, so i only skimmed through it... therefore only getting only Band 5 in Science. Now I have learnt my lesson of early preparation through the hard way.. =( Oh well.. |
