Hey guys, i've been researching the Command Line Interface and GUI quite a bit.
What i don't get it; what were computer like before the CLI?
Like the CLI let people use spreadsheets and play games like Pong; but without the CLI, what was the interface??

What do you mean? Before command lines there were just switches and lights.

So if computers worked by physically changing switches and stuff, what could they really do? :/
Like if there's no screen for it to output any information, what would a computer be used for?
