    Question Subject Scaling

Here are my subjects for year 11.
    -Mathematics Extension 1
    -Ancient History
    -Standard English
    -Business Studies
    -Economics
    -Engineering Studies

How well would you say each of these subjects scale?
How hard is it to get a band 6 in a subject that doesn't scale well.

Have a look here for a general idea:

The higher the scaled mean, the better the subjects tend to scale.

Standard English is the only shocker on your list. The rest are okay to good.

The scaling of a subject does not affect the number of band 6's or any other bands.

NESA takes your raw marks and aligns them to give you a performance band; UAC takes your raw mark and scales it for the ATAR.

1(3√3) t2 dt cos(3π/9) = log(3√e) | Integral t2 dt, From 1 to the cube root of 3. Times the cosine, of three pi over nine, Equals log of the cube root of e.

    Re: Subject Scaling

I think 3U and Eco are the stronger scaling ones, then ancient/business/engineering are decent and like fan96 said, the only real 'danger' is Standard English, but that still doesn't mean you should rely on scaling, try hard for all your subjects because in the end scaling doesn't mean jack unless you do well!!! In saying that, you never know scaling is unpredictable especially for English because of all the new modules, might go up, might go down, just ensure you try your best for ALL your subjects and getting a Band 6 in 'low-scaling' subjects are not impossible or unachievable - just means you gotta try that tinier bit harder. Good Luck buddy!
I spend too much time on this website
