Smile Formals...

Ok, so i know there are a few of these threads..

But I decided I will make one of my own, and i wanted to know what everyone was doing for theirs.

Keep in mind I do Distance Education, so i dont get one.

But i would go if someone asked me..

You seem quite desperate. Would you go, if a girl asked you?

Where: The Log Cabin (on the Nepean River
What I'm wearing: black dress bought at op shop that just needs shorteneing a bit. I got my earrings dirt cheap and my bag was a present, find some shoes and goves and I'm pretty much done. I love the idea of not spending too much money but still having an awesome outfit.
Who I'm Taking: No one. I'll just have a great night with my friends.

Re: Formals - 2009

Where?
Liverpool Roma Function Centre ( :/ )
Wearing?
Grey formal pants & Grey vest with either a melon colour/purple shirt & white shoes. Hopefully i can get a discount @ myers since my cousin works there
Who you taking?
Not planning to, strictly Year 10 @ the school only.
When?
2nd December. Graduation earlier that day.

&& with the whole debate about going to your year 10 formal or not, i don't see how people can say "it's not important, who cares about year 10 formal."

In the end, its a celebration; a good night out. I don't see why a person would CHOOSE not to go unless it was due to religious or family practices.

& i know this isn't going to convince anyone, I've tried convincing a few people in the year to at least consider going, but they've already decided otherwise.

Oh well, I'm not the one missing out :P

Agreed! From year 10 to year 11 is a massive jump, everyone knows that. In my school, alot of people KNOW they can't be messing around in the senior years (maybe theres time during the prelim course :] )

another excuse i've heard which i thought was hilarious.
Me: So... you going formal?
Girl: Nope *wide grin?*
Me: Why not?
Girl: Because... formal shopping is so hard i can barely shop for normal clothes
Me: *What the $@%^ Face*
The conversation went abit like that.

I always thought girls liked shopping, especially clothes. :|

& if you're imagining a real masculine tomboy in your head with dysfunctional taste in fashion, thats completely wrong.

Re: Formals - 2009

uh girls at my school have used the excuse of not wanting to get dressed up and spend money on something they are going to do again in two years.
This is a cover for the fact that they don't have partners and they think that this is vital.
So perhaps this wide grin was suggestive for you to ask her to go as you asked her if she was going.
This is all too relationshipy now.
And I posted ages ago
But now I'll add that we're having a spit roast cooked by year 11(12 now i suppose) hospitality!!
Tis going to be lame as

that, i highly speculate. I actually did ask one, (not the one mentioned), but she turned me down. She kind of thought i was playin', but if it got her to go, i wouldn't mind. (& no, my self esteem is still as high as ever :] )

WOW A SPITROAST? That's gotta be a couple extra marks somewhere, all i know is the food at my venue is going to be shit. Late night mcdonalds crashing, here i come.

Re: Formals - 2009

ahahahaha lol
a spit roast in a school hall
the food and ambiance is going to be SHIT

and in the spirt of all that is year ten formals, you should probably ask this girl.
help her return to be a stereotypical female in enjoying shopping.
And then you should invite her to your classy after party at mcdonalds, you can get her an angus burger followed by a cone with a flake in it.
lol
