Year 11 and 12 Subject Selection (1 Viewer)

Hello, this is the first post for me on this forum.

I want to start planning for subject selection in Year 11 and 12.
My strategy is to focus my energy on few core subjects rather than spreading them too thin.

I am doing 5.3 Maths and my Maths result is in the year's top 10%.
I hope I can do Math Ext in Year 11 and 12 but I worry that doing well in 5.3 Maths may not mean that I can do well in Maths Ext 1 or 2. Can someone please give me insight on this?

I intend to choose the following subjects in Year 11.
2 English Adv
1 English Ext
2 Maths
1 Maths Ext
2 Music
2 Chemistry
2 Physics
===========
12 units

Then in Year 12, my subject list will become:
2 English Adv
2 Maths
1 Maths Ext 1
2 Music
1 Music Ext
2 Chemistry
===========
10 units

Is the above subject list risky?

How good is your english? Because if you find extension maths/english too hard you can't do anything till year 12. Just saying.
Extension maths requires more work than you think it does. But it's not too bad... Well yet.
Yay a music buddy!!! Finally someone's choosing a music course on here! (But you really should be considering geography.. )
Otherwise your subjects look fine- it looks a lot like my sister's hsc subjects actually.. And she went pretty well in her hsc.

I'd say consider sticking with 11 units in year 12 as it is the optimum level.Strictly speaking you shouldn't be taking subjects for year 11 and be already planning to drop them.
