i'd say 13

It's better to do as many subjects you can cope with so that you have a wider choice on what subjects you can drop for yr 12

I agree with this. Plus you never know what you'll end up hating or you may be surprised with what you end up enjoying.

Same issue here, I'd prefer to do 13 Units but my school caps it at 12. But, if I had the option to do 13 I would do it. In my case I'd swap SLR (1 Unit) for Legal Studies (2 Units)

depends, im doing 13 because of ext maths..shouldn't worry about the units..just do whatever you like

Are we allowed to do Extensions in Year 11? I heard extensions are for the HSC only.

Extension 1 courses for English and Mathematics start in Year 11.

Extension 2 courses for English and Mathematics, Extension History, and other extension subjects such as for languages can only be picked up in Year 12. You would have needed to do the Extension 1 course in Year 11 to do Extension 2 English or Mathematics, any one or both of the history subjects for Extension History and Continuers (? pretty sure) to do the extension course for that language.
