Heres the question
Evaluate how cultural assumptions may be revealed, challenged or affirmed in your prescribed text.
In your response, make close reference to The Drover’s Wife and at least ONE other short story by Henry Lawson set for study.
Prescribed texts for Module A: Henry Lawson Short Stories
• The Drover’s Wife
• The Union Buries Its Dead
• Shooting the Moon
• Our Pipes
• The Loaded Dog
The trouble is that I'm finding it really difficult to find any "cultural assumptions" that fit in with both the drovers wife and any of the prescribed texts.

the best that I've come up with so far is this:
1. the traditional view of family is challenged in the drovers wife (Female takes on both father and mother roles) and the Union buries its dead (the bush makes the comunity the family).
2. Henry lawson reveals the harshness of the bush (literally all of both of the texts lol)
(no this isnt my literal writing for the essay its shortened)

If anyone can help with any better ideas, anything at all is deeply appreciated
Anyway thanks for reading!
