is there a single physical application for anything in the topic?

it seems so pointless, like it's just there to fill up the syllabus

i guess its useful for branches of engineering
but other than that...

speaking of branches...
Minai must have hit every branch whilst falling down the ugly tree.

ahhahahaha

Hmm probably astronomy/astrophysics as well because the planets and celestial bodies orbit in roughly circular paths

hmmm...

planets and other celestial bodies may orbit in near-circular paths, but unless a person still believes in Ptolemy's epicycle theory, circle geometry pretty limited in its application. (ie. no application)

There are other equations that describe the elliptical orbits of individual planets.

I'd have to agree with MinAi and say that it's main use would be in engineering.

who cares- it's an easy topic- basically free marks- and it's not often you get easy marks in 3unit maths

I do engineering

There are no circles (but squares are pretty ...)

Wait, there was that big circle on the top of my last test, in red ink ...

Chasing angles around and proving cyclic quads etc can't be too useful outside of pure maths! LOL, didn't think of the remaining Ptolemaians....

Important

The use of the formula Arc length = Radius * (Angle at centre subtended from arc in radians)
In physics in investigation Circular Motion
WE CAME UP WITH LINEAR VELOCITY = ANGULAR VELOCITY X RADIUS

By using the formula s=r(thetaRAD) which was proved using circle geometry.
