they can sit in 5! ways.

together = 4! x 2 = 48

separated = 5! - 4! x 2 = 72

2. whats the question lol
3. (2n+2)Pn/2nPn=14/5
(2n+2)!n!/(2n)!(n+2)!=14/5
(2n+2)(2n+1)/(n+1)(n+2)=14/5
5(4n^2+6n+2)=14(n^2+3n+2)
6n^2-12n-18=0
n^2-2n-3=0
(n-3)(n+1)=0
n=3 since n>0
