Find the equation of the curve COD assuming it is of the form y=ax^2n.
C(-60,18) O(0,0), D(40,8).

Ummm could you please show me how to simultaneously solve these...

I've got
18 = a * 3600^n

AND

8 = a * 1600^n

which becomes 10 = (3600^n - 1600^n) * a<!-- google_ad_section_end --> ....

a.3600^n = 18 [1]

a.1600^n = 8 [2]

[1]/[2] ===> (9/4)^n = 9/4 ===> n = 1

If n = 1 , 3600a = 18 (from [1])

a = 1/200

Therefore, curve is y = x^2/200
