the right hand side of the second line is: (h + q) (x - 2ah)
By expansion, that becomes: hx + qx - 2ah^2 - 2aqh
that can simplify to x(h + q) - 2ah^2 - 2aqh, which is the third line, right hand side :)

Notice how they expand the brackets:

RHS = (p+q)(x-2ap)
= (p+q)x - 2ap(p+q)
= (p+q)x - 2ap^2 - 2apq

Huh?, why is x only multpied by (h + q) and where did the q come from for " - 2aqh ", where is the - 2ah^2 form too ??

lol, (h +q) (x - 2ah) equals x(h +q) + -2ah(h +q)
which equals x(h +q) -2ah^2 - 2aqh
this is really really simple expansion
