Hey

So when the particle hits the ground, it makes a negative angle with the horizontal right?

Does that mean at moment of impact is tan(-a) for example?

How would I answer, what is the inclination when particle hits the ground? positive or negative angle?

Thanks!

No, it still makes a positive angle with the horizontal, but this angle will be in the second quadrant, so the tan of it is negative. So for example it can land at 135 degrees and the tan of that is negative.

Try to avoid negative angles in projectile motion, they will only confuse you further.
