Neap 2016 Maths Ext 1 Trial Multiple choice answers wrong? (1 Viewer)

Has anyone done the maths ext 1 neap 2016 trial? If so, can you clarify that multiple choice question 4 is wrong? All the answers for the question to not give the right answer. The answers completely discount the root on the bottom.

The actual integral i am pretty sure is four unit standard.

$\noindent Yeah they probably typoed and weren't meant to put a square root (or just messed up completely). Their answer is the answer to the same integral without the square root present. None of the options is correct for the integral as written. The answer to the given integral is $-5\ln \left(x + \sqrt{36+x^2}\right)+c$, which can be found from the standard integrals sheet at the back of HSC exam papers (which means they could expect you to answer such an integral if there's such a standard integral sheet available).$
