i can't figure this out.............my teacher explained, my tutor explained but i still dont get it :)

Find domain and range:

1. sin^1 (x^2) that's inverse sin (x square)
2. x cos^1 x :)

Answers at back of bk:
1. -1 </= x </= 1 do u have to sketch it, or flip smthng?
0 </= y </= pi/2

2. -1</= x </= 1
-pi</= y < pi/2 and theres no "=" there

small tip:

the domain and range are interchanged between inverse and original functions.

HEYYYYYY.......the "answers at back of bk" didnt turn out.
its :
1. -1 </=x</= 1
0 </=y</= pi/2
2. -pi </= x</= pi/2

interchange?.........ok.........ill try.............i got the range!........i couldnt get domain :)
