So I'm a student entering in uni in 2019, and I was wondering if there is any difference in the ease at getting internships/industry placements for commerce at USYD and UNSW (non-COOP). I'm aware that USYD has the Industry Placement Program and UNSW has the COMM2222, but is it harder to get industry placements in one compared to the other? I've been told that getting industry placements at USYD is pretty easy due to the IPP, but I'm still struggling to choose between the two universities. I was planning on doing Commerce/Info Systems at UNSW (majoring in finance) or Commerce/Advanced studies at USYD (majoring in finance/accounting, I heard business information systems at USYD was pretty bad), so if I went to USYD to benefit from the IPP, would my future employability be compromised by the lack of technical skills?
