Hey everyone,

When you get admitted to the Medicine program at UNSW for the Rural Student Entry Scheme, do you have to complete your internship in a rural location? I know you have to do extended work placements at rural hospitals compared to general entry students during your degree, but what about when you are finished and completing your internship?

Thanks! :)

No you don't

I have a friend that entered via the rural pathway who did her work placement at Port Macquarie but she has completed her course and I think she is doing her internship at Westmead Hospital currently. Needless to say, she isn't in a rural location at the moment.

Good Luck! I am also hoping to enter medicine through the rural pathway
