I've heardd that in the Advanced science course you have to do the higher option for each course, which is why I initially picked CHEM1031. But reading the handbook I can only find this requirement for years 2 and 3? I didn't do HSC chemistry and it seems like im in pretty far over my head. I've tried to catch up on the assumed knowledge but I dont think I can do it in time. Is it possible for me to drop CHEM1031 to CHEM1011 while in Advanced Science? cheers.

best to speak with the school science office about it

you are in advanced Science so you're expected to take the advanced units

While I did understand it like this, on the handbook it says:

10. When offered in a particular major, students must take higher versions of any Level 2 or 3 courses. Any variation to this must be approved by the Associate Dean (Academic Programs) or nominee.

It is unclear whether or not this is applicable to level 1 courses. However I will contact someone to verify! thanks.
