anything in 3u can be tested in harder 3u for 4u.

its mainly induction, probability, inequalities, circle geo and sometimes application of calculus.

as has been said, anything can be tested. But the textbooks only cover some topics. I have seen harder 3u trig equations in past HSC papers, usually they ask u to prove the sumn to product formulas, also harder bearings questions.

sum to product is hardly difficult to prove?

tommykins, wat are some examples of application of calculus popping up in 4u?

2007 6b). (although it can be considered as mechanics?)

and a few more in the pre 2000 papers like newtons law of cooling, but i dont think they ask that anymore.

From previous years, the Harder 3 Unit stuff has usually been:
- Inequalities
- Induction (not necessarily strong induction)
- Circle geometry
- Trigonometry
- Plane geometry
- Limits (especially squeeze limits)
