Here are some challenging questions on polynomials from some past leaving certificate papers (the external exams before the hsc):

One has already been online for quite a while now (although this is off-topic because that one was not used for the polynomials file). It is the first one from 1916: http://4unitmaths.com/1916.pdf

The others are not online. The polynomials questions are probably the ones which will benefit current students the most. So rather than put all the papers up, the polynomials questions were extracted and put up instead.
