pure mathematics vs applied mathematics (1 Viewer)

For those of you who have done this course, would you say it is more pure or applied mathematics? Im just interested in people's opinions on this, as Im currently studying it from an applied perspective (coming from an engineering background).

It's not really advanced enough to be classified as either imo. It is a collection of tools most of which are useful to people doing either pure or applied work in uni / their career. Some of these tools are motivated by real world applications (super straightforward differential equations in the mechanics component), some are less so (complex numbers, most conics questions, etc), but it is neither a rigorous enough course to be considered pure, nor is it focused enough on applications to be considered applied.
