Does anyone here do Law via Distance Education. What is it like - do they send material to you?

Are there any compulsory on campus sessions?

Can all exams be taken in Sydney, or do they need to be at the UNE campus?

I don't do law externally but i have done units externally. For each law unit they will send you a study guide and maybe a CD. The study guide contains assignment questions etc. Most lectures are now podcasted so you get the lectures from your computer. Most lecturers also post-up notes on the discussion boards.

I don't think there are any compulsory on campus sessions but have a look at http://www.une.edu.au/tlc/students/resschools/

If you go to All Faculties Schedule of Units from the above link and if you go to the LS units (the law units) they have optional written next to them. i.e. look at http://www.une.edu.au/timetable/Schedules/Units-S-L.htm . So optional resshcools (on campus sessions), you don't have to go to if you don't want to.

General informaiton about studying off-campus can be found at http://study.une.edu.au/pages.php3?p=MSOFFC

Informaiton about examination centres can be found here.

Examination centres are at http://www.une.edu.au/exams/EXAMCENTRES.pdf

From what i know, all exams can be taken in Sydney. Many students do law externally and they get the same resources are those who do it internally.
