Went out to collect the mail this morning but instead of an offer pack, I discovered an invitation to the Novotel for a set of information sessions. They also mention something along the lines of accepting the offer, but I dunno.

Who's intending to go? I can quote the letter here, if you'd like.

ok, i really need someone to tell me now... what is PEA day? and could someone tell me about this info night coz i wont get mail until tomorrow. oh, and one more thing, has anyone actually got their offer pack yet? coz i am starting to worry...

PEA day - Pre Enrollment Advice day.
Here's a snippet from the ANU site:

- Attend General Talks and Faculty Specific Talks
- Talk to staff from all Faculties about planning your course
- Ask staff from Student Administration about the enrolment process, deferment, HECS HELP and how to pay your General Services Fee
- Find out about student services from staff of the library, the Academic Skills and Learning Centre, the Careers Centre and the Information Literacy Program
- Discover the wide range of facilities available at the Sport and Recreation Association
- Beat the rush at Orientation Week - buy an Undergraduate Handbook and join the Co-op Bookshop for membership discounts
- Pick up the full Orientation Week program

The info night is held in Sydney, on the night after the PEA day.

Oh, and as for my offer pack? No. Mine hasn't arrived yet, however, I did get that letter though about the info night in Sydney. (That's why I made this thread and all. ) Don't panic though - you've got 10 days before your offer would even consider lapsing. If you're concerned, call the info hotline on 1800 620 032

ok now i am abit confused... what is the actual date of the PEA day, coz the link took me to the one from last year which was the 24th of Jan (ie today)... so now am totally confused about what day it is..

im not going 2 the info nite, it sounds a bit useless. i also didnt know about this pea thing, would anyone say its really necessary to go to it?

Everything you need to know is supplied in O-week.

I'm going to PEA day because it is an excuse to socialise a bit and see the university a bit more... that and I have about 100 questions to ask them.

just wondering guys , is tthe one at canberra the same as the one in syd?..im thinking of going to the syd one cos i live in syd if its the saem

No, they are similar but different. The one in Canberra appears to be organised more like an open day/advice day, while the night in Sydney is more a gathering with some general information. The two will obviously have content that overlaps, though, so if Sydney is more convenient you can go if you want.

and obviously, canberra is actually where the campus is, so its a chance to have a look around if you haven't before, or see the college where u are going to live that kind of thing. they have heaps of people to ask question, for every major in arts etc. i found it quite good last year. you can also get your textbooks early.
