I just found out thanks to the late newspaper run (and bos member ...) that I have been offered a place in combined commerce and law at ANU for 2004.

So who am I going to see there and who is going to be in my classes?

me was just at PEA day... good ole canberra...
I got into Arts.. and just found out I got into Bruce Hall... should be interesting... also found out.. the trek from bruce to the arts section of the campus.. is about a 500m straight line walk.. irrelevant.

p.s. the 0-week program looks awesome...

Yeah I agree, someone hurry up and post...

I saw the program from o-week (d/l the pdf file from anu website) and agree it looks quite good. There are some very interesting activities... 'politics in the pub' springs to mind as one of them...

so are you planning to go to all the activities? I might miss the under the stars one if I am going to be at another 0-week activity early the next day and I will only go to the civic central crawl if I can opt out of the coffee and go for hot chocolate or something :) and I wonder if anyone is actually going to go on the jumping castle for the 'follow me fellows' bit...

I am not going to miss the band in the bar and the bands at the contempt of the court part of things though!

so bolonski (or should I call you matt?) are you from canberra origionally? Or are you going to be like me and totally friendless for the first few days :p

I'm game for the jumping castle if you are! I would go on it, but not if everyone else was standing around going 'omg, how childish, I can't even believe they would have a jumping castle here'

blah - are you waiting for a later round offer? Or are you just not going to go to uni at all?

I think canberra is much nicer than sydney... because its a 'new' city it is clean, well thought out and I think the traffic flows much better (admittedly I have only been to canberra a few times, but that is my general perception). Admittedly I don't think the shopping would be anywhere near as good, but coming from the stix, it will still be a huge upgrade for me!

are you expecting an offer in the later rounds? otherwise I don't think you'll have a choice unless you opt out of uni altogether?

well don't be too worried about stepping out of the comfort zone and moving to a new town/uni by yourself... No one from my school is going to ANU adn i'll admit i'm a bit scared, but i'm sure after the first day (or even the first few hours on the first day) of o-week it'll be fine...

at least thats what I keep telling myself :p

at least we know we're not the only ones!

lol matt that would've been against my team, we had heaps of debating teams and they all sucked except for ours (because we have been debating together since year 6).

Were you in the debating team? Not that I expect you to remember (cos I can't even remember going up against bathurst, let alone the people in the team!) but I was third speaker...

My real name is Christina, and I won't bother describing myseld because with so many people thier I don't think we'll recognise each other unless we wear big hats saying 'strawberry' 'bolonski' and 'ribbon' :) so do you want to do what I suggested in the Newcastle forum (I seriously didn't think i'd get into this course so I started making friends there...) and pick somewhere to meet (like building *** or the tree in the corner or something)? Even if we're not the best of friends for the rest of our lifes at least we won't be nigels on the first day of uni :p

lol ok and I thought that was just some kindof wierd bathurst slang.

Still, it would be nice if more people going to anu would post... it seems like less bos member are going to anu than any other uni...
