So I'm transferring from USYD and one of the greatest problems I had with sydney was that the tutorial sizes were very big. Something like 20-30 students per class. This made it difficult to contribute and get a better relationship with the tutor.

Will ANU be similar or is it different due to its location?

I'll be studying law and international relations

I don't know about law but for IR, my tutes were around 16 people? And since they aren't compulsory a lot of people don't go so often it ends up like 8 to 10 people. Depends on popularity of your course too

It depends on the subject. I study arts/law and only one of eight so far has been non-compulsory. Arts subjects usually have less students than law. However, I still think there'll be less than you're used to.
