I'm a tad confused with the subject selection thingo. I'm commencing an LLB/BMedSc, and I understand that I have to do

LLB100 Foundations of Law A
LLB110 Legal Research and Writing

.. in addition to '18 points worth of subjects from the health and behavioural sciences schedule' (this is for first semester btw). Now, I looked at the prescription for the BMedSc, and the following subjects are available in Autumn session:

BMS101 Systematic Anatomy
BMS103 Human Growth, Health and Exercise
CHEM101 Chemistry 1A
PSYC101 Introduction to behavioural sciences

Now, as they are 6 points each, do I just have to select 3 of the 4 to enrol in? Or am I missing something? If a current student could clear this up for me it would be great. Thanks :)

From what it sounds like, you have to do:

LLB100 Foundations of Law A
LLB110 Legal Research and Writing

and three from the following:

BMS101 Systematic Anatomy
BMS103 Human Growth, Health and Exercise
CHEM101 Chemistry 1A
PSYC101 Introduction to behavioural sciences

How many subjects are you supposed to do?

I was thinking:
Chemistry 1A
Fundamentals of Physics A
Mathematics 1A Part 1
Introduction to Management& Employment Relations

With the Maths, I assume you have to do Part 1 first, but then you would have to wait until next Autum to do part 2? This strikes me as a little odd considering they are both 100 level subjects...

Oh I'm doing a BSc/BComm btw

Maianbarian - Yeah, maths 1A part 1 (MATH187??) runs autumn session, and part 2 (MATH188) runs spring session, which is the 2nd session of the year. I think, doing a double degree, you'd be expected to do 30cps a session, which is equivalent of 5 x 6cp subjects. From what you've put up, it looks like you've only got 4 x 6cp subjects atm. But, you can obviously choose to do less subjects, or attempt to do more, its either your funeral, or a year - 2 years extra at uni. Im sure you'll get to speak to some people about it when you enrol.

Ninga: In my enrolement booklet it says Maths 1A part 1(187) runs in Autumn or Spring and Maths 1A part 2 (188) runs in Autumn, hence my confusion. Because that means I would have to wait until next year to do part 2 which seems a bit odd to me.

If I'm expected to do 5 subjects that's no biggy, I should prolly do another Commerce Subject anyway.

EDIT: I just noticed that there is another maths subject MATH110 Advanced Mathematics, would that be a better choice considering I've done 4u maths? MATH187 and MATH188 look alot like the 4u course to me

CSCI321: Project
CSCI361: Computer Security
CSCI399: Sever Technology
IACT302: Corporate Network Planning

At this stage at least, though CSCI361 is looking a little daunting, so I'm reconsidering the alternatives.

you can't do 110 unless your doing advanced maths.

if you do 187 i might be your tutor, if my application is accepted, lol

Hurrah for underloading. I've underloaded every semester except 2 and that was first year.

7 contact hours last semester. Think that's bludgey. Try 6 contact hours this semester. :D
