Wondering about 5 bonus UAI points (1 Viewer)

Hey all,

I was wondering about how this whole bonus 5 UAI points for being a rural HSC student... How does it work? Im looking at doing engineering (electrical or mechatronics) next year or the year after(defer).

Do I automatically get 5 extra UAI points? Or is there some condition? Or does Newcastle even do this?

Im going to school at Parkes (middle of nowhere) lol

It means that if this system applies to you, you can get into the course you want 5 points below the UAI cutoff.

Brilliant. I was looking on the newcastle uni website and came across this:

As it turns out I will get 4 points below the UAI cutoff.

it just means that what ever uni course you are doing (at your nearest uni eg mine is Newcastle University) adds 5 points to your UAI when you apply

you dont actually get the points added to your UAI until you apply for university =)
