Feeling good about the people you're studying with?

My day was shit. I only had 4-5, so it was fine getting a park and all that, but was an absolute nightmare to get out. Plus I hate my classes *cutwrist*

Was alright. Have a few criticisms though.

The lecture room booked for software engineering ( SENG1110 ) was far to small, it was packed to the seams with people sitting on the stairs.

And the lecturer has the most annoying fucking accent ever. It was a chore just trying to listen to her.

Oh, and they really weren't kidding about the mozzies.
They were biting me through my jeans, solid effort on their behalf.

Didn't really meet many new people, except one guy in my software class. He came running over to me after some fat guy was asking him his favorite colour and sexual orientation? Just aswell, he seemed like the only normal guy there.

Also, i got into an argument with some mega fucking douche biggalows outside EF building, whining about first years. Fuck, if you read this your a sad cunt.

Overall, was average.

Did that happen to be for EDUC1738? If so anything interesting happen in it? I'm in the 3-5pm tute and my tutor didn't show up. At least not for half an hour at which point everybody left.

This is my second year, but if you haven't guessed by now my first day sucked. =]
I was supposed to have classes from 3-6pm, but I got there about 1.5 hours early for transport reasons. As I said my tutor didn't show up for my 3-5pm tute, so I had to wait a total of 5 hours at the uni for a one hour ITLab. And then because of the wonderful Cityrail it took me until 7:50pmish to get to my station. :) :hammer:
It's usually only about 20-30 minutes on the train.

That lecture was soo shit. It was pretty funny when people started to walk out 30 minutes before the lecture was even over though.

My day was pretty much boring though, we didn't learn anything at all, we just listened to the lecturers ramble on about the course outline or some crap. Though, i guess it is the first day and all..

Yeh it was EDUC1738, had the lecture just now.
The tute was mainly socialising and looking at what literacy is and why we teach it and stuff.
I'm kinda wtfing at even the lecturer referring to us as second years when it's in the first year list and a few first years are in the course. I'm guessing it has something to do with the course changing from previous years. That and iirc it was under the semester 2 list, not that it really matters.

Bad luck at transport and tutor not showing up.

Don't go to the SENG1110 lectures. Seriously, they're shit and you learn nothing from it. Just have a browse over the lecture slides. The actual lectures are so slow, they take 10 minutes to explain an idea that should take 10 seconds.

I absolutely do recommend you go to the tut's or at the very least complete the problems at home.

If you need any help with anything, ask on the course board or on here, I should be able to help and likely still have my old projects here (they change every year though, and I think you guy do a different language now?).

Okay thanks, so not too different from the lecture today then other than the socialising.
Us second years who transferred into the course have a different enrolment grid to all of the first years because of the different courses we've already done, and on it EDUC1738 is listed for this semester. So that is why she referred to us as second years, but she really shouldn't have.
I wouldn't worry about the fact that there are only a few first years, all the courses I've been in so far have been mixed up at least a little.
