who else thinks the auchmuty library smells?

it smells old and dingy and damp and musty

WAIT!! it IS old and dingy and damp and musty

all the books in there are ancient too...its like they bought books once....when they opened, and havent bought any since. its really hard to find anything that wasnt published before 1989

and their organisation is screwed and confusing

and the catalogue computers are stupid too and hard to use

it needs a major revamp! i wish it looked like the aic....now i LIKE that place

so, in conlusion, the auchmuty library smells.

I never know where to go in the auchmuty since they dont have a teaching section, i always go to the law bit and pretend to be a smart law student. but im always scared a library person is going to come up to me with their hands on their hip "you don't study law! get out!"

Go to the stack. It has books from the 19th century, with smells to prove it.

engineering is as far away as you can get from everything else, they have a huge maths/physics hence engineering section

what/where is the stack?
The stack is underneath the AIC and stores old books/journals not worthy of space on the library shelves. There is a computer down there that is always available.

Sounds like effort. I'll stick to law.

But Josh, is it a new and funky one like in the AIC?
And it would be so much harder to stalk you if you were in the stack rather than the common!

Next time you're in the AIC, check out the corner opposite the elevator. Go in the door, down the stairs and play around with the transportable bookshelves.

Hours of entertainment.
