Products of metabolism are:
CO2 and Nitrogenous Wastes
CO2 combines with the blood forming hydrocarbonate ions, which dissasociate to make the blood more acidic = bad for homeostasis
Nitrogenous wastes are extremely poisonous and so need to be diluted/converted as soon as possible

I thought that all arteries carry oxygenated blood with the EXCEPTION of the pulmonary artery, from the right side of the heart to the lungs

How the organisms maintain an optimum temperature. Either by decreasing or increasing. E.g burrowing, thick waxy cuticles, fur, large leaves for increased intake of sunlight etc.
