Well, i have a practical assessment for biology coming upand i don't know how to study for it. I really don't get the point of pracs.. cause you can't really study without having the apparatus in your hands when its all at school. The "Specific Skills" i need to know for my prac exam are: - Testing for the presence of particular presence of particular chemicals in biological tissues. - The identification of cellular organelles -Making observations and drawing conclusions about biological concepts. - Analysis of experimental results and making conclusions so what do i study on? and how can i effectively take in the information? I really dont want to do badly in this... i've done 2 assesment tasks for maths and chem and i didnt do so well..besides drama, biology is coming up and i really want to do well. =] |

17 Nov 2009, 2:10 PM | Re: Biology Assessment coming up! =/ do you know which pracs your teacher might test you on? if you know which pracs he/she will test you on you can use those pracs as a starting point - they cant test you on a prac you've never done so dont worry, whatever is tested you will have done in class. Just revise the pracs and you'll be ok.

17 Nov 2009, 2:10 PM | Re: Biology Assessment coming up! =/ Word of warning: the prac may not be exactly the same as what you did in class - so make sure you covered everything like what reliability is, what validity/accuracy is etc. also for the discussion, remember to talk about the implicataions this prac has on biology as well as linking it to your hypothesis etc.
