The amount of blood flowing and the route it takes can be adjusted. This enables the skin temperature to be lowered while but how can the amount of blood flowing and the route it takes be adjusted by an endotherm ![]() |

Today, 11:50 AM ![]() | Re: temperature regulation in endotherms Blood carries heat if you dilate your capillaries then they will carry more blood near your skin's surface allowing the heat to dissipate into the environment. If it's cold your blood vessels contract to keep in the heat. |
