Hey everyone...

I'm a year 11 student studying Chinese year 12 in 2006. I've already started doing some prep and was looking round for past exam papers.

In Victoria, there are three levels of chinese, Second Language (what I will be doing), Second Language Advanced and First Language.
Difficulty goes as...
SL < SLA < FL

Does anyone know the equivalent of SL for HSC papers? Would it be Beginners? I had a look at Beginners papers and they seem quite easy, I would think that SL of VCE would most likely be closer to Continuers of HSC.

Someone please verify this for me please?

I'd say Continuers is your best bet, even though it seems that Beginners does correspond to your SL course. In any case, it's better to practise harder questions than easier questions. Oh and I had a look at the FL past papers, I think it's a bit easier than our Background course.

Good luck!

Thanks alot Icycloud

I was thinking of starting with the Continuers now, since I can do most parts of the exam, and hopefully mayb improve my chinese enough to do some of Background Speaker...

Whats Chinese Extension btw?...is it like some extreme version? lol
