Go with Conquering Chemistry, it's a great textbook for the HSC. Just make sure you cross-check what's in the syllabus and what's in the textbook because some of the older editions of Conquering Chemistry goes into too much detail for the amended syllabus.

However, the TEXTBOOK that your teacher gives you should be MORE THAN ENOUGH. Because the teachers are going to give you the good ones(only if your school isnt cheap). All the other text book is doing is just conferming the work in the other book lol. The best resource i found was GOOGLE. Type in your question or dot point and you have explanations lol. |

23 Jul 2007, 6:05 PM ![]() | Re: Best Chemistry Textbooks/Guides? conquering chemistry edition 4, chemistry contexts 2 and macquarie chemistry hsc study guide are the best combinations, and don't question about it again. However i have heard that contexts is too detailed and so i am using chemistry pathways hsc as my supplement which has excellent information all directly relevant to the syllabus - it's only $25 from www.macmillan.com.au if u order it online. |
