I've got the jacaranda one for my own study.

Re: Best Chemistry Textbooks/Guides?

is chemistry contexts 2 similar to conquering cause i need to buy both or not?

i mean if there similar then wat the point? wats special bout conquering?
if chemistry context is better theres no reason why i shouldn't buy conq? is it not?
btw chemistry context is the order prescribed text for nxt year by my skool. so do i need conq or other if chem context is really enough? itself possible to band 6? so chem contexts and either conquering chem or jacaranda by thickett
help me out here.

I'd say excel. But that's just an assumption. I wouldn't really say it's the best textbook to use, but it suffices.

Macquarie is more a revision textbook. It covers a lot of the content, but the other textbooks are more in-depth and all. So I would expect Macquarie to be relatively cheap as well.

which excel might this be, i have the older orange 1 printed in 2001 i think... i dont like it.. it does not follow the sylabus layout and for some things just has point for... which excel do u use??

also which macmillan book is every1 talking about above... is it the maquarie revision guide 1....??
i like excel cos its straight to the point and it follows the hsc syllabus dot points unlike conquering chemistry which has a load of crap thats not related to the syllabus.

Then again, excel is only good for going over the basics and theory. For most the calculations and complex stuff i learn with my tutor! xD

Re: Best Chemistry Textbooks/Guides?

I used Jacaranda Chemistry. But I did borrow Chemistry in Contexts from the library, and it was quite awesome.

No need for anything else except past papers.
