Re: URGENT help choosing chem elective

i`m pretty sure industrial is the most common.
we did part of it in our research assignment : soaps (&saponification) as well as the production of NaOH.
i guess in terms of notes , since it`s the most common done elective , it`d have notes , so you`d have an advantage over those doing say , chemistry of art or something.
it`s pretty interesting though , but the choice it up to you !

yes industrial is the way to go. its the most 'popular' one so there are more resources out there, even though you will be competing with more students.

but hey if the content isn't that hard you won't have to worry about that stuff anyway - as long as you get it and can do well.

Shipwrecks, Corrosion and Conservations

Bring back the galvanic cells.

We considered the following but:
Forensic Chemistry - Not enough resources
Industrial Chemistry - Too hard

Re: URGENT help choosing chem elective

forensic is not all that hard in fact (cept for the spelling of forensic)

lots of characterisation, organic chemistry.... self taught when I was in 2nd year uni because a student did it...

and i enjoyed it...
